2023 Spring Season Review

Spring 2023 was a fun season full of opportunities for growth. It marked the first time we hired a full-time head coach to direct our programs, and the first time we had to make a last minute reorganization of our program as our plans for a Freshman team fell through. We were able to field a JV & Varsity team that each enjoyed a successful season. Overall, 30 families participated in our Spring teams.

Our JV team played 30 games, competing against local JV & Varsity teams as well as other homeschool teams at the Southwest Homeschool Baseball Championship in Dallas and the Homeschool State Championship in Corpus Christi. They placed 3rd in the Corpus Christi tournament. Derric Ungaro & Zach Odom volunteered their time to lead and direct this group of players.

Our Varsity team played 30 games over the 16 week season. They competed against Concordia, Hyde Park, Liberty Hill, Regents, St. Andrews & a variety of other local high schools. They also traveled to Dallas, Corpus Christi & Florida to participate in homeschool tournaments, all under the coaching of Lyle Gonzales.

Overall, we had six players graduate this Spring and three of them will be continuing to play baseball in college. We're excited to have been part of their journey and will look forward to celebrating all they accomplish. Check out our Alumni page to see their progress!

For the coming year, we are investing in the continuing development of our players by hosting regular training sessions with pitching, catching and batting experts. These trainers will work with all our players, across all three teams, to increase their personal skills and to strengthen our team dynamics. We anticipate full rosters for our Freshman, JV & Varsity teams and are planning for a light schedule of games and practices in the Fall that will build into another successful Spring season.

We hope to see you on the field soon!
