A Letter from the President

Hello Past, Current and Future Texans!

I'm so excited for the growth that our organization has seen and am encouraged that there is more to come. Our coaching team has been hard at work developing a year-round approach to player development. By bringing a variety of instructors to regular practice sessions, we hope to see growth and improvement in all our players, at all levels. Keeping the Texans Homeschool Athletic Foundation running smoothly is much bigger than any one person, team, or season, and I want to share why I believe this work is valuable. Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing some of our specific needs here. You'll also begin to see blog posts by others who will share why they choose to invest their time and energy into the Texans.

My husband Brian and I are passionate about baseball and homeschooling. We love to see other families and players fall in love with baseball, relishing their personal gains as well as the team's triumphs. Maintaining a strong connection between the families of our organization is a natural outflowing of our belief that families are the foundation of our community. Homeschooling is more than merely checking boxes on a graduation plan, it is about training our children to live life well, in a community. When you join the Texans, you are not just signing your son up to play on a team, you are joining a community of families who are passionate about their children.

Over the Fall, we'll be working behind the scenes to line up games for our teams, create new uniforms, run our social media channels, plan fundraisers and special events and prepare for our Spring season's tournament travel. Whether you are participating in our Fall teams, or looking forward to our Spring season, I would invite you to find a way to engage with our Texans community. When we all work together, great things happen!

Many blessings to you and your family!
